I just read that if I take the noxious weeds we cut to the county fair and have them weighed there might be a prize in it. Though we cut quite a few I don't think we would be in the running. We did crisscross 5+ acres searching these wild looking plants out and doing our best to eradicate them. Dick cut and I sprayed RoundUp. You then have to seal them in a bag before disposing of them since each bloom has a "million" seeds. There may be other noxious weeds out there, but we were told it was our civic duty to kill the musk thistle, and being new citizens of the Great State of Idaho, my golly we did!

This looks like the same flower that is on Emma's blog...that she purposely planted. Is it?
We have these thistle "weeds" in vacant lots in our neighborhood. They're pretty, but they have really thorny like (prickly) stalks. Emma's is a flower--these are weeds.
