No skiing 'til December

Next year I will try to take pictures at regular intervals to watch the snow melt. See the link on the right side of this page labeled "Another View". Click on it and see the last bit of snow left at Grand Targhee Ski Resort. I'm pretty sure this snow will be gone by Saturday. I'm anxious to know whether the snow on this side of the Tetons will be completely gone by summer's end. Up until the past few days the overnight temperature at the higher elevations has been below freezing. On the eastern slope there is a glacier that never melts. What is a glacier: Glaciers form over many years from packed snow in areas where snow accumulates faster than it melts.
