Cleaning House - Hard Water Deposits & Grease

This is all you will ever need to clean almost everything.  We have very hard well water and the mineral deposits it leaves behind are tough!  Mix equal parts warm/hot vinegar with regular blue Dawn dishwashing liquid in a spray bottle.  It is thin enough to spray, yet thick enough to stick to vertical surfaces.  Let stand a few minutes, but not so long it dries.  Scrub and rinse.  I did the shower tiles which at first glance I thought would have to be chipped out and replaced.  Excellent results.  I cleaned several stainless steel pans, the teapot, the glass coffee pot, the sink and the very greasy over the stove ventilation system.  Again, great results.

These have been my go to cleaning items lately. I also like that they are child friendly. Vinegar cleans almost everything in the house - floors, windows, kitchen, bath. I know Dawn is the preferred, but dish washing liquid is great for treating oily spots on laundry...like when your toddler wipes his face on you after eating...just saying!
