Just enjoying the peacefulness of the Teton Valley. The weather has been outstanding, but we are really wishing for one rainy day. We putter around the yard; killing noxious weeds and coaxing a lawn to fill in. I've gone hiking with the ladies. It was a tough climb as it was only 3 days after my arrival from almost sea level. We have a few repairs scheduled for this week; a new windshield for the Suburban; tune-up of the heating system, dishwasher repair and a new toilet installation. Yeah, that's the downside of owning two homes.
The garage is looking good. Matt (the former owner) removed all his things over the winter and we have been compacting our stuff, trying to take up less room. I must say we really miss all Matt's things. He had every tool and piece of hardware imaginable and that made chores around here much easier. Now we find we are running to the local Ace Hardware too often.
I am looking forward to Matt and Julies's wedding here on our property on the 30th of this month. There aren't many settings as beautiful as this for an outdoor wedding. I understand it will be a smaller affair, under 50 people. Music will be provided by their talented friends. Relatives from all over the U.S. are going to attend. I'm sure the guests from other places will enjoy the greater Yellowstone area. I hope the black flies and mosquitos are gone by then. They seem to be quite plentiful this year with the continued snow melt flooding the valley. I heard that Bounty Dryer Sheets keep mosquitos at bay. We should make flower arrangement out of them.
Every year I have had red rimmed eyes while out here. I just blamed it on the dryness. This year I have very red eyes. I mean there is no white showing at all. They itch and they water. Plus they are quite puffy below. It's an allergy to something. I hope whatever it is blows out of the valley soon as it is keeping me indoors more than I want.
Send me emails. I have limited TV and need to know what's going on in the world.
