You thought I was incensed over the brown-bagging lunch fiasco. On last night's news they said a legislator from somewhere (not sure this was a state or federal politician) wants to charge an extra mileage tax on people owning hybrid cars because they aren't paying their share of road taxes through their gasoline purchases. We get the message to save energy, to cut down on our dependency to foreign oil and when we do there's a punishment?
Reminds me of the Atlanta water works. Georgia goes in and out of droughts constantly. It is now permanent policy that using water outside is limited to certain days. People really are used to this now and have become careful in their consumption. To "reward" this behavior the water company now assesses a charge if your usage falls below a certain amount monthly.

Unbelievable! My jaw dropped reading this. Did you know that the White House has an email address? I wrote to it recently on another topic. The 2 items you mentioned would be good to send them.
