Back in Idaho

The sun is shining through some big clouds that look as though they could drop a foot of snow at any minute. The mountains are covered with snow, but so far none has stayed on the valley floor.

The new dog, Josie, and I had a good trip out here yesterday. She spent almost 8 hours in the crate but when we let her out she didn't appear to be distressed in any way. Our first stop after leaving the airport was a pet store in downtown Jackson. They were having a party and there were a lot of owners and pets dressed for Halloween. Lots of strangely dressed animals were sniffing her and their owners were petting her. Didn't seem to stress her in any manner. We actually think she was saying "woo hoo, this is really going to be a great place to live. People give parties for the dogs!"

I'm anxious to get to the hardware store in the morning to buy the paint and get busy downstairs. Want these rooms finished by the time I leave.
