Make no assumptions.

No matter how content and peaceful a person may look on the outside is no indication of the inner turmoil they might carry.  Judging a person's methods of dealing with their strife without knowing all the details will only lead to a misunderstanding of the situation.  Tread carefully when standing in judgment.
