Vacation excitement starting to fade -

I've noticed the grandkids spending more time on the computers and watching movies.  If there was cable TV at their uncles house they would probably be glued in front of the tv.  When the new friends stop by there's not quite as much excitement as previously.  My guess is they know they are "short-timers" and it's easier to just play less and less rather than have to say goodbye right after a great bike ride together.  ..... or maybe they are just exhausted.

Opa and Onkel Earth have gone to Jackson WY today.  Onkel had a business call.  Afterwards they are stopping by to look at some used bicycles.  Hopefully, one will fit Emma.  She has learned to ride a bike this vacation and after all the skinned knees she has endured bravely, she deserves one of her own.

Winter was very long here this year.  The last snowfall was the first week of June.  As a result everyone was anxious to get out and stay out of their homes.  The next door neighbor, a single Mom of two, started sitting out in her townhouse driveway visiting with her immediate neighbors every evening.  Great, a nice visit for the few of them.  But word spread and others noticed until it really got out of control.  She went to bed the other night at midnight and people were still in her driveway.  This was on a weeknight!  So last night the garage door stayed shut and the open invitation was squelched.

I had a vacation treat yesterday.... someone could not make her massage appointment and asked if I'd like to take her hour and a half session.  Would I !!  I wish I could get it out of my mind that this is a treat - I really should make it a necessity in my life.

Oh, the big news. There was a deposition yesterday dealing with our real estate lawsuit.  It went well and finally the opposing lawyer started talking about compromise, deals, settlement, etc.  The real estate company handling this sale has washed their hands of the deal and therefore the seller will no longer have to pay a commission - this should give him enough money to have the road widened which has been the hang-up in getting the lots split.  What they plan on offering us for legal fees and general unhappiness - I don't know.

Emma can ride a bike...FANTASTIC!!!
I"m glad to hear there was some movement in the real estate drama. I think one thing that they need to do is settle this before Christmas.
