I'm remembering my first "tag sale" (that's the New England term). I had so much fun and sold things my husband said would never sell. One item, was a softball trophy. I had to ask the woman why she was buying someone else's trophy. She said her husband was disabled and would take those gold eagles and glue them on the edge of ashtrays to hold cigarettes. Another guy kept trying to get me to go lower and lower on the price of 3 kitchen chairs. I finally told him they were worth that much as firewood!
Here in the South they are called Garage Sales; in the New England states they are called Tag Sales and many other areas call them Yard Sales. Years ago - like 50 I remember people having rummage sales. Whatever they are called I'm betting they will never go out of vogue. Many people area probably having them now just to pay for gas.

I love to have garage sales and to go to them. It feels so good to de-clutter and then to find great deals at other sales. I wish you guys lots of luck with your sale. Make money, declutter, and have fun!!!
Garage sales are a real boon to people with not so much disposable income. When I was a single mother, my girlfriend and I would go every Saturday. She even plotted out a course on the map. It saved me a lot of money, and buying well-loved items is still something I enjoy doing.
Always fun having a Garage Sale - Thank you for your help!
