Fear comes from ignorance.

I've always been proud that my children have traveled through life without prejudices.  Never more so than this week when an orthodox and traditionally garbed Muslim woman in the expat community they live came to my daughter and asked if she would come sit with her.  She explained later that she did this because my daughter was the only one who had spoken to her since her arrival.  Both of them now feel they have made a great friend and are sharing the similarities and differences of their lives.
