I'm not a fanatic about buying American but I would love to be able to afford only American made products. Today I heard something that sounded strange; immediately after hearing a news program that showed custom agents inspecting products imported from other countries that are unsafe by U.S. standards. In this case it was Halloween costumes that had unsafe levels of lead in them.
The next program that I watched was a decorating program (surprise) that boasted about the imported fabrics. It struck me that imported doesn't exactly represent quality or beauty anymore.

I don't even want to imagine the amount of lead products in India. Some things you can just look at and think Lead!
