Smoke !!

The wildfires are over a hundred miles away.  Once the smoke rises in the atmosphere it can go hundreds of miles.  This area has been the recipient of heavy smoke since last week.  Since Sunday my visibility range has often been down to 1 mile.  The Grand Tetons are the most photographed place in the world (because once you are in front of them, you are compelled to take dozens of photos).  I know, I live at the base of them and hundreds of photographs have been taken from my deck and yard alone.  Unfortunately, the tourists who have been here this past weekend and so far this week have not been able to see them, much less photograph them.    This morning the smell of smoke was strong, but fortunately, it didn't last long.  I'd put a picture up, but you would just think it's a picture of sky, unless you knew what was behind the smoke you wouldn't know just how many of the mountains are being obscured.
