With the crazy storms of the past few years coming so close to friends and family; the recent break-in at my daughter's house; and viewing the smoldering foundation at a home just down the street today; I'm going to encourage you to make an inventory of your belongings soon. Set up an Excel Spreadsheet and fill it out, complete with pictures. Get descriptions of your jewelry, including weight of the gold and stones. Even everyday jewelry has value when you group it all together.
And speaking of break-ins. There is no place you can hide your valuables that the thief has not thought of himself. Put your stuff in a safety deposit box or insure it separately. Meantime, just try and remember everything you own.

We all have jewellery that we wear often...and up until recently I had jewellery that I didn't wear often, but would have loved to keep in my family, b/c of the special place it had in my heart. Safe deposit box...no amount of money can replace those sentimental items.
Don't even put this on your things to do list...do it now, so it doesn't need to be put on a to do list...only on the " done & now I have peace of mind list"
