I could live there

I love unique living spaces.  And if they are not unique in style then they better be in a unique location.  Browsing through a blog today I picked out 4 shelters I could spend a great deal of time in.

A camper trailer would be fun to have and I would love to spend a few weeks a year in one.  Growing up in New England gave me a great appreciation of Cape Cod style homes..
This house on the range, not the tipi, would look good next to the barn style home I already have.
And another favorite from New England, this beautiful shingle style, gambrel roofed home.  Of course ANY home on this parcel of land would be gorgeous.  The coast of Maine - how idyllic.

Well hi there Barbara! I have made it over to your blog. I see that you love your homes and you love order and you also love to be surrounded by things that give you pleasure to use or look at. Do you love William Morris?
I love his quote, "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." God bless, Belinda

Hello Belinda who is enjoying summer in Austrailia while it is below freezing here today.
I run that quote through my head often. Over the past 7 to 8 years I have made great strides getting rid of things that have used up their usefulness for me. Many things were "projects" that I thought I would get to someday. Those were not only clutter in a physical sense, but the guilt of not getting to them was clutter in my mind.

Oh Barbara, I like that notion. My sewing drawers are bulging with half baked projects that make it so unpleasant to even open the drawers! Goal for today... discard 2 unfinished projects.

Well, I did it, Barbara. Threw open the sewing drawers and scavenged through to find some fabrics I haven't touched since the 90s and threw them in the bin. Also found an untouched cross stitch that can go to St Vinnies. Was able to close the drawer. Woohoo!
