Just like the title of my blog, I am about to move along again. This will be our 5th corporate relocation and we will be moving into our 7th home, and that's only homes we have owned, does not include 2 rentals. I spent the day tossing and packing. Though we will have packers when moving day arrives, I have decided it might be time to get rid of the bedroom set I received as a high school graduation present. It was located in the room I use for crafts and sewing, so I needed to remove the items I kept in the dresser drawers.
This morning I spoke with the "corporate relocation specialist" who is located in Boston. He wanted to set up an appointment for tomorrow morning to have the kickoff meeting via telephone. His firm has been hired by our company to "take over our relocation and make it stress free". He said he would be helping us market our house, find a new home, obtain a mortgage, and arrange for a mover. Huh!?! I'm stressed by someone saying that to me. First of all our home is already up for sale, it's pretty easy to find a realtor (and I have), there won't be a mortgage, and the mover was already called by the HR department. And what does a guy in Boston know about marketing a house in a private, gated community in the North Georgia mountains?

or furniture...maybe start a blog with items you want to downsize and people can say if they are interested or not and get pricing for those items.
