Just when the above normal temperatures were beginning to go away, our furnace decided to start coughing and wheezing. Peering inside it was obvious that the exhaust fan had ceased working. Online shopping was interesting as prices for this part ranged from $185 to $500 (guess which price we chose). So the part is on rush order and the instructions for replacing it have been given to me. Never, ever do we call a repairman right off the bat. It has to really be something we can't handle ourselves before we part with our cash. Meanwhile we are heating the house with our gas fireplace. Doesn't reach all the rooms, but that's what down comforters are for.Rants, raves and thoughts about the journey through my rather easy to deal with life.
