Home Remodeling and other activities

I'm still in Idaho and on Thursday I was actually complaining about the weather.  But a quick realization that it is still in the 90s back home brought me back to my senses.  Today the weather is perfect again; sunny, in the 70s and not much wind.

This week we had another 5 windows replaced with beautiful Pella casement windows.  What a difference both inside and out.  Inside we can tell already the difference the insulating qualities and the UV coating on the glass are going to make.  On the outside the navy blue frames add a bit of "pop" to the exterior of our house.

Today I have been invited to a salad luncheon at the local Curves exercise center.  One of my friends is a member there.  I have met several other members on my Wednesday hikes.  I have gone on 3 of the Wed. hikes so far this summer and I seem to be gaining strength and lung capacity.  This week I hiked 7 miles at 8000 ft. elevation.  But I really should do several smaller hikes a week rather than one big one.  Guess I will have to wait for either Paula or Leigh to spend the summer here with me to do that.

I want to start walking more but I have little to no motivation. I really don't like summer at all. I don't like the heat but it's a billion times better here than where I am from (Illinois). It's so stinking hot there. I feel bad for my family. It's been in the mid 90s but feels like 100 with the humidity. No thank you. It has been in the low to mid 70s here most of the summer but this weekend and the beginning of this coming week it's low 80s. I'm not going to complain. It won't stick around long *crossing fingers* lol I guess I'm picky. I want 65 to 72 everyday, please and thank you. LOL!

That's the reason I'm here in Idaho instead of Georgia. Really can't stand heat and humidity.
