Flower Gardens

I have an appreciation of good landscaping, flower gardens, and the like, but as far as getting outside and gardening myself ... no.  The only flower gardens I have had are ones that I have inherited after buying a previously owned house.   Last year I started a little perennial rock garden and low and behold, it survived the winter.  For the past month I have been adding to it.  Here's a few pictures of it and another picture of how I hope it expands in the next few years.  Though they don't show up well in the bright sun and against the mulch there are 18 plants.  I'm not good at remembering names, but I am trying to keep the labels.  Right in the center is edelweiss ... guess this is an alpine climate.  The rocks? .... yes, I picked up every one in my yard and I'll never run out of them.  The wooden fence posts I found abandoned on adjacent property and sawed them into varying lengths.

How beautiful! I hope to be out there sometime when your garden is not under snow.

Nice & creative! I love how you have used recycled/reused/found materials.

Last year a friend asked if this was where the recently departed dog was buried. I hope it is looking less like a burial plot.
