Settling In To The Old Place

Last month we let the real estate listing of this house expire. It had been on the market for quite awhile and the competition is fierce in our neighborhood. Because it isn't necessary that we sell we decided to wait out this real estate downturn. Meanwhile how do I keep "living" here. We did the decluttering and changed colors to make it "designed to sell" so I need to bring back some of "me" into the decor. We know we need to update some of the rooms, but I'm really not in the mood to spend money on this place. I want to spend it on a new place! It was 11 years ago this month that we moved into this house. The longest I've ever lived in the same house was 13 years .... hope I'm out of here before I reach that milestone again.
