Rants, raves and thoughts about the journey through my rather easy to deal with life.

Small town conveniences ...
New store opened here in the valley. Kings opened its doors last month and the town is abuzz with excitement. Well, maybe I exaggerate. Kings is a variety store somewhere between Dollar General and Walmart. But it does have some things that were previously impossible to buy here in the valley, like underwear and toys. Not that I needed underwear; someone just pointed out that she finally has a place to buy her kids underwear. The valley has clothing stores but all they stock are outdoor and ski clothes. There are hardware stores, high end furniture stores, garden and accessory stores, but the prices in these places reflect their willingness to fleece their captive consumers. So here is a cheer for Kings, may they prosper and thrive and continue to be neighborly with the prices.

That's true...I never thought about how tricky it would be to buy everyday necessities there. That's great news.
