Isolation

There is a downside to the rural life I have been enjoying this summer. I'm an hour and a half from the nearest interstate and I guess that far from any railroad shipping lines. That transportation issue, combined with being in a small town with not much competition has resulted in prices being at least 50% higher on non necessary items such as decorating items and building materials for which I have been shopping as of late.

So far the many shopping options available near a large city is the only thing I have missed about the greater Atlanta area.

I'm wondering how much you would need to purchase to make a trip to SLC worthwhile...although that may delay some of the projects you have going on. It is always hard to swallow when you know you can get something cheaper elsewhere. That is why I have a hard time shopping in Germany...I have already started my shopping list for my next US trip.
