I guess I'm no different from other Americans who have spent their entire life traveling in the comfort of private automobiles ..... public transportation confuses the heck out of me!Traveling on European trains is so comfortable, but figuring out whether to buy a pass, buy an individual ticket, buy a discount card before buying an individual ticket, travel only on weekends or after 7:00 pm .... there are so many variables. I'm almost ready to give up and rent a car for our trips out of Dusseldorf. That's so typical American. But me driving in Germany, oh my! "Elijah, quick look at that paper and tell me what that road sign means!"
