Packing for travel

My suitcase (actually a rolling backpack) has been open for two weeks.  I've packed it, unpacked it, added and subtracted.  But it's crunch time and I must zip it up in a few minutes.  My final act was subtracting again, but I find myself second guessing my choices.  I can get by with fewer articles of clothing, but shoes ... that's a problem.
