Fresh Vegetables - Please. Why Not?
It's an instant world. We expect to connect with the world in a nano-second. We have packages delivered the next day by 10:00 AM. We're at the store in a few minutes and walk away with our purchases without much of a delay. Trucks are moving constantly on our highways and our supermarkets are always well stocked. But why oh why can we not have fresh vegetables. Even at the largest supermarket chains are the vegetables weeks old. You buy vegetables and you must cook them within two days. Buy something from a local vegetable stand and it will last in your crisper for two weeks. Shame on you big box supermarkets..... buy local and get it to us fresh.

I actually see more and more local produce in the supermarkets in Portland. Very soon, I will be visiting the farmers markets. Thanks for the great list you sent me!
The freshes vegetables I ever got was when Atlanta briefly had a grocery delivery service "Webvan." The quality was excellent, they lasted longer, and had far fewer bumps and bruises.
