The new parents-to-be started researching strollers as soon as the pregnancy was announced. Because they are on-the-go type people who live in the midst of a big city, a great stroller (kinderwagen) was a must. Yesterday I saw pictures of their choice. This piece of baby equipment has all the bells and whistles you can imagine, plus a few more. It looks like another fine example of German engineering. It's going to be interesting to see the differences between the U.S. and German gear for babies.

Is it a diesel?
Of course it is diesel! We plan to put a lot of miles on this kinderwagen. We've heard tales of the American strollers just not surviving the amount of walking we do over here...not to mention the cobblestone streets! Our understanding is that the kinderwagen and car seats are 'must buy in Germany' items. The car seats are apparently tested at higher speeds - go figure - German Autobahn!
