St. Joseph is the patron saint of home and hearth. Several years ago people started burying a St. Joseph statue in their yards to expedite the selling of their homes. Our friends sent away for a plastic statue 2 years ago when they were ready to sell ... it worked. Last March when our house went on the market we received a package from them containing St. Joseph. I buried him, according to the directions, upside down and facing the front door. Because he was "used" I sought out a Catholic Church and found the alter honoring St. Joseph, made a donation, lit a candle and said a prayer. No luck. This morning I found out that when the house sells he should then be taken up and given a place of honor in the new home. So I'm going to order a new St. Joseph and take the one in my yard to his new home. Meanwhile I could use your prayers to whomever you pray to bring a buyer to our home. Could be St. Joe is overworked during these turbulent economic times.
Buying: Not many people are out buying vacation homes. We are certainly fortunate to be able to do so and as a result we are getting excellent service from our realtor in Idaho. In the valley where we are buying our realtor's phone is ringing constantly because the grapevine is humming with "Eric's got buyers". Not only are the other realtors calling him, but people who haven't even listed their houses have been calling also. Good news travels fast.
PS: Let's watch the ad to the right - will it be a real estate ad, one for Idaho, or perhaps something about St. Joseph?

All the sellers should start wooing you-I am sure the realtor is getting some wooing, why should they be the only ones?
