Our beautiful gated community is relatively crime free. There's the occasional theft from a construction site and there is the "white collar" theft from the vendors who do business here and assume we are all wealthy and can afford inflated prices. But early this morning I received an "official" email from the community saying:
The 911 call and subsequent police presence was due to a domestic disturbance. No worry for the populace of the neighborhood. I went about my day and forgot about it. On the Atlanta news this evening I learned that the "disturbance" was between two business associates in the home of one of them. One used a knife, the other a gun and one man is dead. Oh my! Details to follow.

I would assume the guy that brought the knife to a gun fight is the one deceased. What kind of neighborhood do you guys live in!!!! Can't wait for a link or more details.
I read the article. self defense...yeah right...try shooting the hand off the person.
An I thought the bears and snakes were the only thing that could hurt you in your neighborhood.
I sent the article to another Big Canoe homeowner and he told me there was a drug bust in there a few months ago. What kid of place are you living in? I think I need to stop referring to it as a Mountain Resort Community and start calling it THE HOOD!!
The drug bust was at a short-term (vacation) rental property.
