Refrigerator Art (inside; not on the door)

Today I ran across this picture of my daughter's refrigerator in her family's apartment in India.  The foods in it are so fresh and beautiful and certainly not available in that condition at my local Publix Store.  After seeing it I went exploring for pictures she had taken at nearby markets. The beautiful displays of these fruits, vegetables, and nuts can inspire one to eat better.  A look in my refrigerator does not seem very inspirational.  And if I were to stock it as completely as hers with fresh foods I'm afraid there would be a few green, moldy things growing in the back.  How wonderful it would be to be able to walk down the street every other day and buy vegetables that had been picked less than a day before or just that morning.  The fresh foods available to us are picked before being ripe and spend a week or more in transit before we see it laying unappetizingly under fluorescent lighting being sprayed by automatic sprinklers filled with bacteria laden water.  Ugh!  Maybe we will have frozen vegetables this week.

Yes it is beautiful...but sometimes walking 'down the street' everyday to get 'fresh' veggies, is not as quaint as it may seem..:)
