We're come along way in photography.

In my possession I have photographs that are a hundred years old and some that are only days old.  The above photo is maybe 34 years old.  It is very grainy and compared to today's digital photos, of very poor quality.  Comparing it to the photos 3 times its age, there isn't a lot of difference other than color.  So photography didn't have significant improvements until this digital age.   I've been going through a lot of photos lately and I have been distressed at the fading and deterioration of some of them.  I've done quite a bit of scanning of photos for that "just in case" scenerio.  Thinking of that the other night during our stint in the basement during the storms, I brought along my computer, two external hard drives, my medications, our passports and an extra pair of panties.  I did forget my purse.

Speaking of digital photography.  Yeah, it's great being able to look at photos on the television, but please print a few.  Someday someone will want to look at a picture of themselves or someone and really not be able to search through scores of CDs or figure out what your computer passwords are.  And DON'T store pictures on your camera only.  Get them onto an online storage site.

I figured if the house was destroyed the cars would be also. It would take us a day and a half to walk to your house.

Yeah...I got hung up on the pantie comment too. In fact, I'm not sure what the rest of the post was about.
