Went this morning to hike with the ladies of the valley. I was okay until I got into my car to drive home then I wondered if I would have to spend the rest of the day parked in the garage. Mostly it's my ankles and knees, and I'm pretty much drained of all energy. Couldn't believe how many women said they were going to play golf, tennis or had other appointments after the hike. They said it was a relatively easy and level hike .... I didn't quite see it that way.
These women are "bear aware" hikers and I have got to look into carrying a can of bear spray if I begin to hike regularly. Today on the news Jack Hanna was talking about his use of spray when he came face to with a bear while in Montana. Expensive stuff and only 4 shots in a can, but if you ever need it ..... well worth it.

Hiker Mom. Where did you hike? What did you see? Maybe you need a hiking journal at your house. People can leave tips on hiking trails they've done in the area.
Moose Creek Canyon. The trail starts on the south side of the highway between Victor and the start of the climb going up Teton Pass. All according to how far you want to hike .... this trail connects to others and you could even walk to the eastern edge of the mountains.
I am exhausted thinking about you hiking :)
Buy a taser :)
I just saw a thing on the news about a girl who was attacked by a bear when she was sleeping. She just played dead and it stopped.
However, I like the idea of the spray more than a bear chewing on my arm as a defense! lol
