Holiday Travel

Recently the Big Canoe animal rescue group posted an article about our adoption of Josie. In the article they referred to us as part time residents of Big Canoe. I was taken aback, but then after some quick addition I realized that by December 31st I will have spent 1/3 of this past year in Idaho. I guess that does make the statement true.

Bags are packed and we are ready to go. Going to be a long day tomorrow as Delta has graciously cancelled the earlier flight from SLC to Jackson. So we are spending a long day in Salt Lake and arriving very late to our home. One thing that's available that isn't available at any other airport I'm aware of is the LDS Church has a free and constant bus ride from the airport to Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake. Downtown SL and Temple Square are very nice and decorated beautifully this time of year. A couple of years ago we went into the LDS genealogy records library which was impressive.

Looking forward to seeing the dogs who will be waiting at the house for us. Our car is already parked at the airport in Jackson. Hope we don't have to clear much snow off it and that the roads are clear for our two hour trip over the mountain.
