Happy Birthday to Me and the Country

Last year's birthday was a milestone one. You know one that ends in a zero. Looking back it was a pretty great year; a new grandchild was born, I lost a lot of weight, our vacation home dreams were realized, I traveled, friendships grew deeper, and worries were few. Some people do their reflections at the New Year. I do mine at my birthday.

Thank you everyone for your greetings this morning via your favorite means of communication. I don't have a lot planned for the day. This is a weekend for staying away from Jackson Hole because of tourist traffic, so we will just hang around here in Teton County. Our home sits on a high spot so we will have a good view of the fireworks tonight across the valley.
