Guarding the View

Frequently people who build homes on the sides of mountains clear cut their lots so that they can enjoy the view and probably they like to be seen also.  Our neighborhood has put covenants into effect so that houses blend into the woods and don't become part of the view.  One of the rules is no cutting trees without permission and supervision.  Every few years we have what is called "vista pruning" in order to maximize our view.  The gentleman and his crew that do the pruning has been working in this neighborhood for 20 years and are very familiar with all the regulations. Still, and I think it might be just a revenue maker, a neighborhood representative had to be here for 6.5 hours today while the tree trimming was happening.  And for this unnecessary service I had to pay $30 an hour.  That in addition to the labor cost of the men doing the work.  Today's annoyance.

I don't remember the neighborhood representative from last time...must be a new revenue making idea...ridiculous!!
I'm sorry I missed the monkeys swinging through the trees with a chainsaw hanging from their belt...it is very entertaining. I hope the view is spectacular! Now, you just need a homebuyer!
