A Happy Place

While out shopping on Saturday my husband and I stopped in at a baby superstore.  He got the biggest kick out of watching my face as we entered the store.  It's true!  An immediate big grin came to my face.  Even when he pointed it out, I couldn't erase it.  What a happy place!  I looked around and everyone was smiling and about 3/4 of the customers were grandparents.
Those stores must be so confusing to first time parents.   There are so many products and variations of items ... how do they know what they really need!  And talk about improvements!  So many great functional items to make child rearing easier.
This weekend our daughter will be crossing the Atlantic Ocean to enjoy a baby shower with her friends and family.  Looking forward to seeing her.

So, did you buy anything? That daughter that is crossing the Atlantic is so excited to see everyone and listen to baby and parenting stories. I have only been in one Baby Superstore in Germany since I found out I was pregant...and yes, it was overwhelming...and the German stores are not as 'super' in size compared to the US version.

I know exactly what you're saying. I haven't been in a Babies-R-Us in a long time. I had so much fun looking at all the cute clothes. More than once I asked myself "what is this; what does this do?" I could easily have spent several hours and several hundreds of dollars there (I didn't). I can't wait for the baby shower--I haven't been to one in several (at least 15) years.
