After the shower, the visits with her friends, and some serious shopping, Leigh got to do some scrapbooking (her pictures are stored here at my house) and some sewing ... yeah really! She dug her baby blanket out of her "treasure box" (also stored here) and attached a new binding to it. I was her partner at an Infant CPR and choking first aid course. She thought it best to take a course that important in English. Both of us were so pleased we went.
She left with two large suitcases each weighing 47 lbs. Inside were some wonderful baby items and beautiful clothes, along with some old things that were used with love by previous generations. She will need to buy a chest of drawers soon to hold all this ... She stops work in four weeks at which time she will begin to "feather her nest".

The two (or should I say three)were thought about often this week. I thought about all the "last" things you were doing with her to get ready for all the "firsts." She will make a great Mom (as is her sister). I love the story about the binding on her baby blanket. Thanks for sharing.
It was very exciting to see the soon to be parents facial expressions and feel their excitement of the anticipated arrival.
I had such a great trip. Now...I hope that Rene and I can go shopping for some kind of a storage arrangement soon...while the clothes are adorable to look at...I think most people don't store them on top of their dining room buffet. 2.5 more weeks of work and 8.5 more weeks til the due date! Benjamin...we are excited about your arrival!
