Rants, raves and thoughts about the journey through my rather easy to deal with life.

Grandchild
Anticipating my new grandchild (due in April) I have changed my blog colors this week to pink and blue. When I had babies the methods for determining the sex of the infant were: how high you were carrying, whether you looked tired or not, how fast the heartbeat was, if your skin was pale, pouring your urine into Draino and checking the color of the toxic fumes, and the ever popular tying your wedding ring to a string and holding it over the abdomen.... if it went counterclockwise it was one sex, I forgot which. I rather liked the surprise at the end of 9 months. I suppose if I were a parent-to-be today I'd be curious to know what sex my baby is. The sex of the new grandchild is now known. I'm letting the Mom announce the news. You know what everyone says "As long as it's healthy" or as my sister said "as long as it's healthy and has hair".

Having a new baby around will be wonderful; it will also be fun to talk about names, colors, clothes, Barbies, swords, ribbons, or frogs. I'm also looking forward to seeing some pregnant pictures. I had my first child in Germany and it was a great experience--different, but very nice.
It is exciting to get updates...Leigh is doing a great job keeping everyone in the loop.
