Is it too late to plant a garden?

I read that a 10 x 10' backyard garden can produce $600. worth of
vegetables. After going to the store today and see zucchini for
$1.59 a pound - I'm sorry I didn't plant one. It's just those pesky
tomato worms - you know, the ones that actually have a face!
Do you remember when zucchini was practically a "giveaway"?

Another sign of the financial times. We took our wall clock for
repair. I asked if they could do an appraisal. The man said not
now ... Antique prices are taking a dive right now. As for his
business, he said "I have what people want, not what they need".

It's time to go back to sewing your own clothes and using bleach, vinegar and baking soda for every cleaning project (just not together)

I love the garden idea...I hope I have a yard soon with enough space to do that (and that I have the time). Brooke - lately I have been reading an Organic Housekeeping book that mom gave me for my birthday (YES, that is right, she gave a housekeeping book to me for my birthday). Almost everything can be cleaned with vinegar. It is cheaper, better for the environment, better for our bodies...not so many chemicals breathing and absorbed through our skin...and it does just as good. Try it...Oh, I mean, have Abe try it (I think you & I have the same housekeeping gene...none)
